A local Human Resources Professional serving small businesses, as needed.
Many small businesses don’t need a full-time Human Resources Officer. That’s where PRISM comes in. Professional HR guidance, workplace solutions, and compliance support can be provided per project.
Raising standards.
Reducing risk.
Protecting what matters.
PRISM Areas of Practice:
Professional Resolutions, Implemented (with) Strategic Management
-
PRISM specializes in strengthening workplace culture through evidence-based Organizational Development practices. I support leaders in identifying morale challenges, addressing interpersonal or workflow issues, and designing practical, ethical solutions that improve day-to-day operations.
This can include:
• Culture audits and morale assessments
• Strategic conflict resolution pathways
• Leadership coaching and communication frameworks
• Restructuring workflows, responsibilities, or team alignment
• Custom documents that capture values, expectations, and professional standards
My background in Organizational Culture studies, my nearly completed Business degree, and my upcoming SHRM-CP certification support PRISM’s qualified approach: ethical, people-first consulting that adapts to your organization’s unique environment.

We help employers identify and navigate the requirements that apply to their organization based on location, industry, workforce, business structure, and professional or operational licensing. This may include federal, state, and local employment requirements; industry-specific regulations; worker classification; required workplace policies and documentation; licensing considerations; and applicable regulatory agencies.
PRISM offers small and mid-sized companies a reliable, outsourced option for maintaining HR-compliant processes—without the cost of expanding internal staff. PRISM provides compliance-focused HR consulting and organizational support but does not provide legal advice or legal representation.
-
PRISM provides practical support throughout the employment relationship—from hiring and onboarding through everyday workforce management. Services may include developing policies, handbooks and workplace forms; improving hiring and onboarding processes; supporting documentation and employee relations practices; and creating clear, consistent procedures for attendance, performance, conduct, corrective action, and other day-to-day HR needs. The goal is to give small employers reliable HR infrastructure without requiring a full-time internal HR department.
Meet the Founder
Megan Flanagan
Megan Flanagan, founder of PRISM, built her approach to workplace consulting in environments where getting the details right mattered. Her professional background spans regulated early education, program operations, family advocacy, staff supervision, and emergency veterinary medicine. She has managed classrooms and teams, worked in publicly funded, highly regulated programs, responded to operational emergencies, and made time-sensitive decisions where compliance directly affected safety.
In early education, that meant much more than keeping a business inspection-ready. Staffing ratios could change with the age or arrival of a single child. Facility conditions, supervision, documentation, quality accreditation standards, mandatory-reporting responsibilities, and program requirements demanded constant attention. A small operational gap could quickly become a safety issue, and effective leadership meant recognizing it before it did.
Emergency veterinary medicine reinforced the same discipline under very different circumstances. Monitoring multiple vital signs, preparing for emergency procedures, following clinical protocols, and responding appropriately while an animal's condition could change rapidly required calm prioritization, accuracy, and the ability to function under pressure.
Those experiences shaped the philosophy behind PRISM: most serious problems begin as smaller ones someone could have noticed and addressed earlier.
Megan brings that perspective to workplace consulting by identifying gaps in policy, documentation, communication, management practices, and organizational systems before they develop into larger employee-relations, compliance, financial, or ethical problems. Her approach goes beyond checking whether an organization meets the minimum standard; she helps clients understand why the standard exists and build practical systems that work in day-to-day operations. Now, she is continuing that work through obtaining a formal business degree, earning SHRM-CP certification, and building the consulting practice behind PRISM.
Raising standards, reducing risk, protecting what matters.
